******I am a first-time horse owner. I took lessons before purchasing my horse and he gave me great advice on how to recognize good conformation and how to work with a horse on the ground, which I had never been shown. His advice helped me make a great horse selection!

The facilities are always clean. The stalls are huge with runs attached and a paddock that opens to pasture for the perfect environment for a horse to be turned out daily. They have an arena and it is great to use when training with or on your horse. They have plenty of open land to take a ride and just relax with your horse.

Good-hearted people. They truly care about the owners and their horses only wanting the very best for both. This is an excellent place to learn and grow with your horse

******We spent some time at the ranch this fall, taking lessons and spending time with the horses. If I didn't live on the east coast I'd have already been back there by now. The horses are very well cared for, it is a beautiful facility, and genuine respect & love for the animals. The atmosphere there was warm and relaxed (even when the weather turned cool and windy), and the ranch is located on a beautiful expanse of rolling hills. I only regret that i did not have a chance to meet Mary during my visit.
I would definitely recommend Bush Creek Ranch to anyone who is a lover of horses like I am.

by Jessica Marsh, DVM Hands down the BEST place to keep your horse in the Manhattan/Wamego area! Monte and Mary take excellent care of boarding horses as well as the people who own them. When I moved to New Mexico, I was so sad to leave their ranch and I had a super tough time finding a place that would or even could take the time and effort to care for my horses like Mary did at prices 3 and 4 times that of what it costs to board horses in Kansas. In fact, after awhile, I went back to caring for my own horses because no one compared to Monte and Mary and the standard of care they uphold. I used to ride out in the hills around the ranch and it was the most relaxing place I have ever boarded horses! The arena is huge and the property is beautiful. I highly recommend 2UW Brush Creek Ranch if you are looking for a place to board a horse or take lessons!

Bonnie Stainbrook - Been Broke (Chestnut Thoroughbred, 2001 by Olympio out of San Andreas by Meadowlake) won one race out of 14 starts and retired as a four year old after a bowed tendon. After a relaxing rehab (and gelding) he embarked on a new life as an eventer and pleasure horse in Louisville, Kentucky. Showing a great affection for jumping, Been Broke “Bennie” found his present family in 2006. After a few years of local eventing shows in Kentucky, Bennie is living the good life these days. After his family joined the Army and moved to Fort Riley, Kansas, Bennie did his duty and moved to his present home under the watchful and caring care of Monte and Mary at 2UW Brush Creek Ranch. Here in his new home he enjoys trail riding, schooling over fences, and new adventures on the horizon with opportunities like reining and barrels.
